Our real‐time model of place‐based activations and stakeholder engagement creates value for a community in an innovative way. A few of our current projects include the development of a regional food system backbone through a partnership with other in our food ecosytem, venue management and event services for SILO in Makers Quarter and the Rancho Santa Fe Association alongside SLP Urban Planning, directing a culinary education program with Kitchens for Good and, working with the ethnic business cluster in Southeast San Diego and City Heights San Diego to develop a new model for interim activation of a vacant lot into a market‐place for community level start‐up businesses centered around food.

Ron Troyano

In early 2015, Troyano converted Alchemy Restaurant Group, a six year old company whose business included their flagship restaurant, a catering division and retail food line into Alchemy San Diego, whose focus is activation, food systems and economic develop opportunities . During the past decade Ron has been a board adviser, member or officer to several non-profits in San Diego, among them are The Front Burner Fund, The San Diego Food System Alliance, The Farm to School Task Force, The San Diego Urban Rural Roundtable, San Diego City College, and the South Park Business Group. Among several honors, Troyano was named to the San Diego Metropolitan Magazine's 40-under-40 list in 2011 and recognized by the Community Health Improvement Partners as a Cross Sector Business Leader for 2014.
Kirsten Kessler

Kirsten Kessler joined the Alchemy San Diego team in 2014 after spending a decade working events in the non-profit and educational sectors in San Diego. Her work at San Diego City College includes coordinating conferences, events and trainings for the Institute of Human Development and the Public Mental Health Academy. Kirsten also had the privilege of managing the San Diego City College Foundation’s Centennial Gala raising funds for student activities and scholarships. Kirsten developed and ran the College 101 exploratory program with Access, Inc. to expose at-risk youth to community colleges. She worked with Girl Scouts San Diego running their residential summer camp programs and assisting with Girl Scouts’ many events, conferences and meetings. Kirsten is a graduate of the Meeting & Event Planning Program from the SDSU College of Extended Studies.
